CONTEXT in collaboration with CM+ was involved from concept design through to construction for sections 3 and 4 – Glenugie to Maclean for the Woolgoolga to Ballina highway upgrade.
This 40km section of the pacific highway consists of a 4 lane carriageway passing through a number of vegetation communities providing habitat of a wide population of indigenous fauna.
The project includes multiple interchanges with planting that responds to the unique context and conditions of each location. The project also includes 38 bridges, many of which act as fauna underpasses which have been designed in collaboration with ecologists to ensure habitat connectivity is maintained.
