We are delighted to announce CONTEXT’s win of the 2024 NSW AILA Landscape Architecture award for Parks & Open Space with our Tench Reserve – Parks for People project.
Located along the Nepean River, this transformation under NSW’s Parks for People program, champions community wellbeing and environmental conservation. From accessible amenities to a riverside amphitheatre, our design integrates local insights and Indigenous perspectives, shaping inclusive public spaces for future generations.
This achievement reflects the collaborative efforts of the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure’s Open Space Team, Penrith City Council, Balarinji Indigenous Design and Strategy, and GHD Engineering. Grateful for the partnership with the NSW Government, we look forward to continuing to create impactful projects across NSW.
Making waves in the Parks and Open Space category, this treasured community park on the banks of the Nepean River in Western Sydney fell under the NSW Government’s ambitious and innovative Parks for People program, redeveloped with community wellbeing and nature conservation at its heart.
